Bulldog Names
You can find interesting Bulldog names and much information on the breed on a number of websites. Prior to purchasing a purebred dog of any breed, you have to learn much on the breed’s keeping, feeding and grooming requirements, exercise needs, working abilities, trainability, and temperament. Only when you are absolutely sure that this breed is right for you, start looking for a breeder.
Keep in mind that there are no ideal puppies and there is no guarantee that a puppy will become a Champion in Agility or Obedience. You buy only a potential and it’s up to you whether it will be successful in some of the dog sports or will become a companion for a child. To attract impulsive buyers, some breeders use interesting Bulldog names that emphasize the best features of the breed. To obtain a dog of a high quality, the owner should not trust the first impression, but investigate the pedigree and the characteristics of the puppy.
There are certain rules on how to name purebred dogs. Usually, Bulldog names should start with the same letter with the names of their parents. It’s important if you are going to show or breed the dog; pet quality dogs may not conform to this rule. Actually, the difference between pet and show quality dogs is not great. Pet quality dogs correspond to the breed standard in both appearance and temperament. They have minor defects that make them unsuited for the show ring or for breeding. Show or breeder quality dogs will not necessarily become champions, because much in their development depends on the owner.
The unwary buyers are the main victims of backyard breeders and puppy mills. They sell dogs of dubious lineage as purebreds and don’t guarantee a perfect health and stable temperament of their dogs. Many irresponsible breeders offer registration from rare registries or no registration at all. Rare breed registries are not particular on the quality of the dogs; they may register a dog that has serious defects. Finding interesting and not trivial Bulldog names should be of the least concern when you think of purchasing a purebred Bulldog.
